RECOUNT TEXT

Is retell for purpose of entertaining that happened in the past events or experience from the writer or other people’s experience. Recount text have three element, they are
• Orientation is tells the reader who was involved in the story, what happened, where the story took place and when it happened.
• Events is tell the sequence of events
• Re-orientation is summaries the events
Recount text usually using Then, After that, Finally and usually using verb II. 

   Example :  

Earthquake

I was driving along the coast road when the car suddenly lurched to one side. At first, I thought a tyre had gone but then I saw telegraph pholes collapsing like mathcsticks. The rocks came tumbling across the road and I had to abandon the car. When I got back to the town, well, as I said, there wasn’t much left.
